HONG KONG (MarketWatch) — Japanese labor authorities have ruled a 41-year-old manager of a McDonald's restaurant in a Tokyo suburb died from overwork after putting in an average of 80 hours per month in overtime during the six month before she collapsed in 2007, according to Wednesday report by Japanese state broadcaster NHK. The Kanagawa Labor Bureau found the woman died of a cerebral hemorrhage and had shown symptoms of the disease three weeks before her death. The new ruling came after the woman's family demanded a review of the initial finding by the Labor Standards Inspection Office that her death that was not related.
