Green Acres victims furious with package
Victims of the Green Acres ironing franchise scam are outraged and upset at the rescue package they have been offered.
About a hundred members of the newly formed support group Franchise Watch gathered outside Green Acres head office in Auckland on Friday to protest.
Group spokesman Ketan Trivedi says the package is to rescue Green Acres, not them.
He says people can not afford to fulfil conditions of the agreement like buying and branding a vehicle, or having no minimum weekly income.
Green Acres says eight people have accepted the offer.
