Company offer rejected by duped franchisees
The majority of those who bought fake ironing franchises have rejected a rescue package from the company they thought they were investing in.
A former Green Acres master franchisee is alleged to behind the scam which generated about $5 million.
The company, which maintains it wasn't involved, offered real franchises to the victims, who number about 200, earlier this week.
But many of them gathered on Friday outside Green Acres' Auckland office holding placards bearing slogans such as 'rescue package rejected'.
