Drive-through ruling a setback for McDonald’s

The Ontario Municipal Board has upheld a Toronto bylaw that bans new drive-throughs within 30 metres of residential areas.
McDonald's Canada led the challenge against the city's right to pass such a bylaw in 2002.
A company spokesman said the fast-food chain was still reviewing the 31-page OMB decision, released late yesterday, and wouldn't comment until "we have a chance to go through it fully."
